This paradigm swift also steered the interest of private enterprises already actively involved with Space abroad as well as investors toward Greece’s emergent internal Space market. For every such endeavour to be fruitful, it is of outmost necessity to have the appropriate legal framework in place well in advance. Greece acknowledging the need for consistency and predictability in the conduct of Space activities under Greek jurisdiction, has passed the law L. 4508/2017. The law is entitled “Licensing Of Space Activities – Registration of Space Objects in The National Register– Establishment of Hellenic Space Agency and Other Provisions” and is still the only National Space Law that Greece has.
